Overwatch reached over 1.5 million concurrent views on Twitch, which is the highest day ever for the game on the popular streaming platform.

The Overwatch hype train is at full speed once again thanks to the Overwatch 2 beta, which officially kicked off yesterday, April 27, 2022. To get access to the beta, gamers need to watch a total of four hours of Overwatch streams on Twitch, which resulted in just over 1.5 million concurrent views.

This is, of course, the highest day ever for Blizzard's hero shooter on Twitch.  Overwatch hits record-breaking 1.5 million views on Twitch thanks to the Overwatch 2 beta

Overwatch 2 beta has so far received mostly positive reception, despite the initial concerns that the game doesn't look and feel like a full-fledged sequel.

Blizzard have confirmed earlier that the Overwatch 2 beta will run until May 17, 2022, so there's still plenty of time to get access and try it out, if hero shooters are your cup of tea. Blizzard also promised that more beta tests are on the way later this year.

Overwatch 2 still does not have a release date but it's expected to launch sometime in 2023. As for the platforms, it should be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

We expect to hear more about the game this summer as Blizzard continue testing and balancing gameplay and features for the final release.
