Players are growing increasingly frustrated with Overwatch 2's launch day, which is jam-packed with all sorts of issues.
Overwatch 2 players are reporting missing cosmetics and full account wipes after switching to Overwatch 2. The issues seem to be affecting a large proportion of the Overwatch 2 player base since Blizzard's support forums are currently a very lively place.
There is no fix for this issue, which is expected to be resolved by Blizzard very soon. The publisher confirmed they have received multiple reports and are currently investigating the problem.
"We have received multiple reports of this and are currently being investigated. You should not have lost any skins or golden weapons so is most likely a bug though I do not have any other information beyond it has been reported to be investigated," Blizzard staff say.
The good news is that you should not have lost your precious cosmetics when logging into Overwatch 2. This is very likely a bug that can be fixed by Blizzard on their end so fear not, your skins should appear on your characters soon. Just be patient as Overwatch 2 devs seem overwhelmed by various launch issues at the moment.
Overwatch 2 launched today on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The launch attracted a large number of players who are waiting in huge queues of over 3000 players.
Hopefully, all these issues will be resolved quickly so players can enjoy Blizzard's new arena shooter.
