NARAKA: BLADEPOINT is all out of gum. The battle royale game has surpassed the 100k player milestone in its first week after release. Additionally, the devs have shared a short Q&A episode.
Well, it was only a matter of time but now it's official: NARAKA: BLADEPOINT has surpassed the 100k players milestone on Steam. The 60-person battle royale was released just one week ago, on August 12, 2021.
NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Dev Q&A Episode 1
When asked about new heroes and how to unlock them, the devs said that they are currently working on several new additions to the roster, with the first coming up in September. All new heroes will be unlockable using Tae or Gold.
Yoto Hime special offer has also been prolonged: new players will automatically unlock Yoto Hime on purchase for the foreseeable future.
NARAKA: BLADEPOINT will soon have network hubs for players in South America and Oceania. The network hubs are currently being tested and will improve network connections for players in those regions once they fully go live. When enough South American or Oceania players in the queue, the game server will be hosted on local network hubs in São Paulo and Sydney.
Some players have been struggling with high ping enemies in their sessions. While NARAKA: BLADEPOINT's net code was optimised to deal with the issue it seems it's not performing to its fullest potential: something the devs will soon be looking into.
