Funcom have revealed the official system requirements for the upcoming tactical adventure game Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. For those who don't meet the minimum requirements, Funcom said that "it's probably time for an upgrade."
With just two weeks until the release of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, the publisher Funcom have released the official minimum and recommended PC specs required to run the game. As expected, they're not scary at all and most players shouldn't have too much trouble even at the highest settings.
One thing to mention is the recommended CPUs. It looks like Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden will be optimised for higher thread CPUs with Intel's i7 6700K counting up to eight threads and AMD's Ryzen 1600X to twelve logical cores.
Denuvo anti-tamper DRM implementation could also be the reason for higher threaded CPU requirements, as most games with the unpopular feature have high CPU usage.
The required disc space stands at just 8GB which is a pretty rare sight in 2018 and something that players with slower internet connections will certainly appreciate.
Funcom's advice for those with PCs that don't meet the minimum system specs is simply to upgrade their old rigs, as some of the minimum required hardware has been released more than ten years ago.
System specs did not mention the required OS, but the game's Steam page says Windows 7 64 bit will be enough to install the game.
In case you haven't heard much about the Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, it is a turn-based tactics strategy game which combines X-Com's combat with exploration, stealth and destructible environments. The main focus is set on mutating your characters into different classes and builds. It's made by the team of former Payday and Hitman developers and it's coming out on 04 December 2018 for PC, PlayStation4 and Xbox One.
