NetherRealm Studios confirmed the characters coming in Mortal Combat 11's DLC and we're looking at four confirmed and two unconfirmed characters. The confirmed characters are Todd McFarlane's Spawn, Shang Tsung, Nightwolf and Sindel.
We've known about Shang Tsung, of course, as this was the first Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character that director Ed Boon confirmed , but the rest were unknown.
Starting from Shang Tsung is mandatory since we are talking about one of the oldest characters in the franchise, having been the boss of the first Mortal Combat arcade.
Judging from the trailer, the shapeshifting sorcerer is obviously in his best years. His abilities include the capability to morph into any in-game character, which traditionally results in a high skill - high reward Mortal Kombat fighter.
The voice of Shang Tsung is Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, the same actor that played him in the Mortal Kombat movie, which should give Mortal Kombat 11 players even more reason to start polishing their shapeshifting skills.
If you're a comic fan, Spawn needs no introduction, but even if you aren't - let's just say that Todd McFarlane set a benchmark of how superhero capes behave in comics.
Spawn's appearance in Mortal Kombat 11 is his debut in the franchise, and it'll be interesting to see how NetherRealm went about fitting him into the existing roster. Also, he'll be voiced by Keith David, the voice of the animated series' Spawn.
The last two Mortal Kombat 11 DLC confirmed characters are Nightwolf and Sindel, both being returning ones and coincidentally or not, both having made their debuts back in Mortal Kombat 3.
NetherRealm are yet to confirm the last two Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters, but earlier data mines and leaks mentioned Spawn and Ash. Yes, Ash and the Living Dead Ash.
Spawn has indeed come true so we're hoping to hit two for two, i.e. that Mortal Kombat 11's DLC comes with Ash, which leaves only one.
And by now, we think that even those who didn't know who Shaggy was are hoping he'll make an appearance in Mortal Kombat 11, but one can only hope.
