People Can Fly's upcoming looter shooter, Outriders, will get several gameplay videos over the next few months, with the first one set to premiere on May 28, 2020.
Outriders is the next big thing in People Can Fly's plans and as such, it will likely remain the studio's primary focus until release in December 2020. The latest initiative confirms as much.
It will be called Outriders Broadcast and it will be a monthly show which will serve as both marketing material for the title and a good way for the fans to familiarise themselves with their anticipated game.
Outriders Broadcast will cover a different topic each month and a few have already been mentioned. Those waiting to see the videos will have an opportunity to learn more about the areas in the world, new enemies, guns and gear, new features and more.
The first episode will premiere on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 5:00 PM BST / 6:00 PM CEST / 9:00 AM PDT.
For those not yet familiar with the upcoming looter shooter, the genre pretty much explains itself. It will be another game competing for a slice of pie between The Division 2, Destiny 2 and Warframe.
Considering that Borderlands 3 is not an always online live service game, it doesn't entirely fall into the category but it's worth a mention since this is the series that popularized the genre.
With competitors such as these, Outriders will need to be rather impressive in order to get its own audience and keep it later on. No one really wants another Anthem.
