In their Monday live stream, Capcomannounced that their upcoming Switch title Monster Hunter: Rise is getting another demo, and they also shared the launch date for Monster Hunter Stories 2.
You can check out the full livestream below starting at the 30:00 minute mark, and after a brief introduction, Capcom will treat you to the excellent Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin trailer.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be available worldwide on July 9, 2021, and there's a bunch of preorder goodies involved if you're interested. Additionally, linking the game up to Monster Hunter: Rise gets you Kamura Garb layered armour, which resembles the hunters' gear.
Capcom certainly set up a good story and it's quite symbolic to have Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin launch for Switch, as the title started its career on Nintendo 3DS before moving into the animated series realm.
As for Monster Hunter: Rise, whose launch date is March 26, 2021, Capcom released the new trailer and you can check it out at the 37:22 minute mark. For those who followed the development, it's mostly familiar grounds, with some added narration to set up the backstory.
And the backstory is - Kamuro Village almost gets wiped out by the Rampage, a mysterious calamity that makes all the monsters attack a region at once.
Monster Hunter: Rise developer also showed off some features specific to this version of the game, like the Wirebug, which grants players unprecedented mobility, and the Palamute, your new buddy.
The game's new demo is slated for March 11, 2021, where players will be able to take on Magamalo.
