When a developer studio known for remasters cites several classic game hallmarks, you know it's remaster-o'-clock. As such, Bluepoint Games possibly teased MGS, Castlevania, Demon's Souls and more remasters.
Bluepoint Games are known for their Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Shadow of the Colossus work. Yet, only one of these games is their own. The credit for Uncharted titles is there because Bluepoint worked on the PlayStation 4 releases for some of the games, which involved a lot of remastering.
Therefore, when their Twitter lit up on Halloween and sent out a cryptic message referencing candy collections "solid and soft" and a "metal Halloween", all Metal Gear fans found their hearts pounding at the prospect of Metal Gear Solid remasters coming to contemporary systems.
This wouldn't be Bluepoint's first work with Metal Gear since they released the HD Collection back in 2011. The collection included Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake from the MSX as well as Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
As you may have noticed, the collection is curiously missing the first Metal Gear Solid, which could potentially be the target of the next remaster project for Bluepoint.
The itself also references Castlevania with both the gif image and the wording. The hints appear to refer to Symphony of the Night and Lords of Shadow but it is not known which instalment of the latter might be in question.
Considering some of these games are already on PS4, it is possible Bluepoint will work on getting them to other platforms, such as Switch, PC and Xbox One.
The rest of the tweet saw many interpretations, with fans hoping some of the references were meant for Demon's Souls, Legend of Dragoon or Syphon Filter.
