Konami have released an update for Metal Gear Solid V, an entire year after the last one. This update brings new Online Development weapons, a new difficulty to Event FOBs and the ability to play as Quiet, the skin breathing sniper.

Konami's biggest news of this update is definitely the ability to play as Quiet. Totally because you will be able to teleport, turn invisible and running at inhuman speed. It has nothing to do with her skimpy outfit that you can't switch out.

Quiet will be playable in FOB infiltration missions. Her impeccable aim will make a combat as Konami have stated that she will be able to shoot her sniper rifle with minimal hand shaking. Her unnatural speed, teleportation and jumping will allow her to cross obstacles which would normally require Snake to climb a ladder.

Her special dash will allow her to close gaps between her and her enemies in quick fashion, which could lead to reckless movement that could blow her cover. Luckily, her excuse for a skimpy outfit comes boxed in with the ability to turn invisible, provided she remains still for a few seconds.

She will not be the only addition for FOB missions though, as Konami have also added five new items that will be unlocked one by one after each maintenance over the next few weeks. Two of these items are really just one sniper rifle that "boasts extremely long effective range and extremely high stopping power and penetration".

The only difference between the two versions is that one is non lethal, which is kind of odd since it can literally penetrate materials. It's like attempting to create a .50 caliber anti-materiel rifle that will only tranquilize the target.

Other additions include a dark matter generator, stun dark matter generator and an energy wall that will act as a bulletproof shield. A new difficulty for Event FOB missions was added, with the reminder that Event FOB missions let players raid someone else's base without fear of repercussions.
