Mainframe Industries share more early gameplay from their upcoming social sandbox MMORPG Pax Dei, showcasing the building aspects of the game.

Video game developers building the next big MMORPG usually have a tough job creating features that will clearly distinguish their baby from other MMORPGs in the oversaturated market.

Be it a higher player count, PVP focus or something else, most of the new MMOs usually choose a safe route, which often becomes one of the reasons why many players stop playing.

Developer Mainframe Industries have decided to be brave and try and come up with a unique concept for their own MMORPG called Pax Dei , which was recently announced.

Pax Dei promises many usual MMO stuff like exploration, fighting other factions, slaying beasts and picking flowers for potions but in addition to that, it features a building mechanic, allowing you to build your own home and even a village.

Mainframe say your village is a safe haven where you can grow and prosper your clan, build weapons and tools, cook food and much more. In the latest dev video, we got to see a glimpse of Pax Dei's building mechanics. Check it out below.

As you can see, it doesn't look like much at the moment, but the game is at the early alpha stage so it's somewhat expected that not all features are in just yet. You'll notice that players can summon a builder to build houses and other buildings for them, so you can go out and explore or hunt while builders do their job for you.

Interestingly, Pax Dei was rumoured to be exclusive to Xbox . The game was supposed to utilise Microsoft's cloud tech on a huge scale. However, it doesn't look like Mainframe Industries and Xbox are working together anymore as the announcement didn't mention this big partnership.

Pax Dei is currently in development for PC only and it doesn't have a release date.
