City builder Manor Lords has passed another major sales milestone. According to the official press release from the publisher Hooded Horse, the game has managed to sell over two million copies across all stores including Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store.
Manor Lords managed to achieve this in less than three weeks after its launch, which is certainly impressive for a game made by one person. Manor Lords already had a very successful launch, debuting to critical acclaim and peaking at over 173,00 players on Steam alone.
Shortly after, the game officially hit one million sales. The developer Slavic Magic have been working hard since early access launch to fix issues and balance specific mechanics, resulting in the first patch on May 10.
Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender said that the team had optimistic expectations and wild hopes for the game but Manor Lords exceeded even those.
"It’s been wonderful to see so many players give Manor Lords a try," says Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender. "We had some pretty optimistic expectations and even some wild hopes, but reaching two million copies on Manor Lords so quickly has exceeded even those."
In our review, we praised the game's addictive gameplay loop and attention to detail. Below is a short tidbit from the review which you can read in full
"I can only imagine what Manor Lords will become with the support of hopefully millions of players who will buy this gem on Steam. Without a doubt, I will continue to follow Slavic Magic on this journey and play Manor Lords after every new content update to see how the game develops further. But make no mistake, even now, Manor Lords is a fantastic strategy that is well worth your money and time."
Manor Lords is available in early access for PC via Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store for an RRP of $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 / as well as other regional prices. It’s also available on PC Game Pass (Game Preview).
