Developer Slavic Magic reveal they are working on several highly-requested features that will allow players to collect food from more sources like fishing ponds, sheep and cattle

Manor Lords is an excellent medieval city builder that amassed over 2 million players since its launch in April 2024. While the content on launch was solid enough for a first early access build, developer Slavic Magic have slowly but steadily started to work on new big features that should be coming to Manor Lords in the near future.

On social media X, Slavic Magic revealed that they are currently working on fishing ponds which will become another source of food in the game, making food collecting a bit easier for players who struggled to get enough food stored for the winter.

In addition, players will also be able to collect food from sheep and cattle, which is something that the community have been asking for since the game launched. Slavic Magic say this feature is on their list of priorities at the moment.

Another feature that is not necessarily related to gameplay mechanics is Virtual Shadow Maps, which will make shadows look more realistic and render across large distances of land, making the visual presentation of Manor Lords even more appealing.

Since this can be a performance heavy feature, Slavic Magic confirmed it will be optional, meaning you can toggle it on or off in the game's settings, so players with weaker PCs can still enjoy Manor Lords at acceptable frame-rates.

Manor Lords is currently available only on PC via Steam. The game is planned for console release too but it won't be coming anytime soon as the dev team are quite small and are prioritizing the current PC build.
