Liquid Swords, the studio behind Samson, is closing following financial difficulties despite the game's reported performance on consoles.

Liquid Swords who created Samson is closing down due to running out of money. Their game Samson was released on consoles recently on the 21st of September.

The original founder of Avalanche Studios who went on to create Liquid swords has confirmed this news on his social media posts on October 19th. Stating that their console sales did not do well enough to allow them to stay open.

Liquid Swords Goes Out Of Business

As per Breakit from Sweden, Liquid Swords was unable to pay there workers for several months. Their workers should be able to get paid back through the government and there was a receiver trying to find a new owner for Liquid Swords. They were not able to find anyone and so went out of business.

Sundberg, who helped establish Avalanche Studios before founding Liquid Swords, had hoped to build a new development studio around Samson. Unfortunately, the financial challenges proved too difficult to overcome.

With Samson being Liquid Sword's first title it's sad that they will be closing. He stated that they got good feedback from it on console but wasn't enough to help them stay open. With the studio closing we will have to see if there will be any further development or content coming to Samson. Only time will tell what will happen to Samson and it's sad that Liquid Swords is closing.
