Samson

Samson is a noir action game developed by Liquid Swords, the studio founded by Just Cause creator Christofer Sundberg, and the debut title from the Swedish team. The game releases on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on 8 April 2026, priced at $24.99, with console versions to follow at a later date. Built on Unreal Engine 5, it was announced at the PC Gaming Show in December 2025 and draws clear influence from two of Avalanche Studios' most celebrated games, combining the physicality and momentum of Just Cause with the heavy, personal melee combat of Mad Max.

Players take control of Samson McCray, a man returning to Tyndalston, a grim and unforgiving city, with a mounting debt and dangerous people applying the pressure. The game runs on an Action Point system, limiting what Samson can accomplish each in-game day and forcing players to make deliberate, consequence-heavy choices with no option to backtrack. Debt accumulates interest daily, law enforcement escalates the more heat you attract, and every job shifts how the city responds to you. With a main story running around ten hours and roughly 25 hours of side content, Liquid Swords has positioned Samson as a focused, no-filler experience without microtransactions.
