Riot's Opinion on the Mythic Item System
Mythic Items have been subject to numerous changes during Season 13 of League of Legends. While the season began with the introduction of several new items like Radiant Virtue, Riot has continuously adjusted and reworked these items.
Significant mid-season item reworks, especially for ADC items, shifted item dynamics. Duskblade of Draktharr, Guinsoo's Rageblade, and Statikk Shiv emerged as pivotal items following these changes.
However, even in Patch 13.17, two out of three items received nerfs or adjustments, indicating ongoing item balance challenges.
During the midseason, Riot acknowledged that it was their last-ditch effort to assess the potential of the Mythic system. ADC and Assassin items were significantly altered to test the system's viability.
