In League of Legends Patch 14.11, the top laner from the Freljord, Ornn, is set to receive a significant buff. His passive ability will undergo a rework, now allowing him to upgrade any item belonging to his ally, rather than being limited to only a select few.
Previously, Ornn could enhance one item per ally, providing them with approximately 1000 gold worth of additional stats. However, not all items were eligible for upgrades, and the ally had to possess one of the Ornn-upgradable items.
Furthermore, the upgraded item's stats were dependent on the ally's item choice, potentially resulting in some stats being wasted.
All the updates and changes to Ornn on Patch 14.11
A post by Spideraxe on X unveils a change for Patch 14.11, indicating that Ornn will no longer be restricted to upgrading only specific items. Instead, the rework allows Ornn to upgrade any item possessed by his ally.
Now, every legendary item in the game is eligible for upgrading. Instead of having a distinct name as before, these items will bear a Masterwork tag. Ornn retains the ability to upgrade only one item per teammate, with the chosen item determined by what occupies the first slot of the teammate's inventory.
Moreover, the upgraded items will prioritize enhancing specific stats such as AD, AP, HP, Armor, Magic Resist, Ability Haste, and Attack speed. This means less beneficial stats like Mana will be overlooked during the upgrading process.
With these proposed enhancements, Ornn's utility is poised to reach new heights.Players can anticipate these changes taking effect on the live servers with the arrival of Patch 14.11, scheduled to be implemented on May 30, 2024.
Ornn has long been favored as an OP champion for his ability to enhance allies with bonus stats, and this latest adjustment will undoubtedly heighten his appeal as a top-tier supportive tank.
