Patch 14.11 for League of Legends brings changes to Pantheon and Gangplank, who have both struggled to remain relevant due to the item changes introduced in the previous patch.

The upcoming update for League of Legends, Patch 14.11, is nearing release. With the MSI concluded, the developers are now focused on refining the game following the massive 14.10 patch that overhauled ADC items and shifted the meta.

Previously Riot gave Ornn some major buffs are now Pantheon and Gangplank are receiving some much needed love in Patch 14.11. Pantheon will get new AP scaling on his abilities, while Gangplank will receive improvements to his base stats.

When is League of Legends Patch 14.11 going live?

League of Legends Patch 14.11 is set to go live on May 29, 2024. The patch will first be deployed to Oceanic servers, followed by a gradual rollout to other servers throughout the day.Here are the key timings for Patch 14.11 on different servers:

3 AM PT (NA)
3 AM CET (EUNE)
5 AM GMT (EUW)
8 AM KST (Korea)

There will be a few hours of downtime once patching begins, and matchmaking queues will be disabled approximately three hours prior

Gangplank Buffs

Gangplank has struggled in the new patch due to the removal of the Sheen effect on Essence Reaver. With many of his core items changing in the ADC item update, the champion has lagged behind, prompting Riot to provide some improvements.

Base health increased from 600 to 630.
Armor growth increased from 4.2 to 4.7

Pantheon is receiving new AP scaling in Patch 14.11, with buffs to his Q and W to better handle tanky champions. These changes aim to make Pantheon a more effective fighter who is both tankier and more capable of dealing with tanks.

Q: Comet Spear

Thrown Q now scales with 50% AP.

W: Shield Vault

Damage changed from 60–220 + 100% AP to 5-7% max HP.
Now it also scales with 0.4% per 100 bonus HP and 1.5% per 100 AP.

E: Aegis Assault

Now grants 5-30 + 2.5% bonus HP armor and MR for 4 seconds.

After so many tank updates, both Gangplank and Pantheon were missing out on the TLC and these updates were much needed to make them playable again. Whether they need further tweaks is yet to be seen.
