League of Legends PBE datamine revealed some cosmetic elements that are assumed to belong to an upcoming champion for the game. Moreover, this champion was also teased a while back.

A few months ago, a brief teaser surfaced for the upcoming League of Legends champion for Summoner's Rift. Now, with Patch 14.10 live, the PBE (Public Beta Environment)  is brimming with fresh alterations and cosmetics, along with intriguing hints that could shed light on this year's upcoming champion release.

Riot has a history of dropping subtle hints and Easter eggs leading up to champion releases, making it no surprise that players swiftly picked up on potential teasers for the new champion.

So let's get into the nitty gritty details about everything we currently know about the upcoming League of Legends champion, along with examining potential teasers and speculating on what lies ahead.

What did the League of Legends PBE datamine reveal?

A recently discovered League of Legends emote called "Spirit of the Hearth" has inadvertently provided players with what seems to be an early glimpse of the next champion joining the extensive League roster.

As per the LoL Twitter account Spideraxe, the two latest cosmetics are named Hooded Figure and Helstrek. Spideraxe has indicated that these two items are part of a mini-event coming to LoL called "The Spirit of Hearth Home." Once again, this aligns with the understanding that the new champion hails from the Freljord region.

Originally shared on X (previously known as Twitter) on May 14, the emote features a mysterious new character wearing glasses and seen writing in a notebook with a feather quill. This character, labeled as "AURORA" in leaked League files, is depicted bundled up in winter attire with long, braided brown hair. Her appearance in an upcoming emote strongly suggests she'll soon become a playable champion.

In this instance, the PBE has introduced two potential teasers for the upcoming champion. Both the icon and emote share the code name "AURORA," indicating that this might be the new champion's name in League of Legends.

Based on current information, it's safe to assume that Aurora will be a Vastayan rabbit mage champion, designed for solo lane play, suggesting viability in both the top and mid lanes.

The most promising aspect of this emote leak is that Aurora appears to be nearing completion if Riot is already incorporating tertiary elements. While there's no confirmed release date for this mid-range Vastayan mage just yet, that should become clearer in the coming weeks as the League developers finalize their plans.

Riot has not yet addressed any of these datamined leaks and is likely to remain silent on all things Aurora until the champion's official rollout begins.
