As League of Legends Season 13 approaches its conclusion, Riot Games is gearing up for the penultimate patch, 13.23.
In a recent revelation by Riot Phroxzon, the Lead Gameplay Designer, it was unveiled that Janna, Riven, Trundle, and Vel’Koz are in line for significant buffs in this upcoming update.
Let's delve into the details of the enhancements each champion is set to receive.
Patch 13.23 Buffs Overview
With Season 13 showcasing the dominance of various champion classes at different times, Patch 13.23 is poised to address the power dynamics once again.
Riot's ongoing efforts to maintain a diverse and balanced meta are evident in the consistent adjustments made to champions.
Janna Buffs
- Passive Damage from MS: 20/25/30/35% > 30%
- W Cooldown: 9-7 > 8-6
- R Cooldown: 150-120 > 130-100
Despite the general buff trend for mages in the previous patch, Janna emerged as an exception, performing below expectations.
To bring her up to par, Janna is receiving buffs in Patch 13.23, including increased passive damage and reduced cooldowns on her W and R abilities.
Riven Buffs
- Q Damage: 15-95+ 45-65% AD >>15-95 + 50-70% AD
- R Bonus AD: 20% > 25%
Riven, often considered weaker in the current meta, is set to receive buffs that aim to elevate her viability.
Riot acknowledges her challenges in the current state and is providing adjustments to her Q damage and R Bonus AD to improve her standing.
Trundle Buffs
- AD Growth: 3 > 4
- Q Mana: 30 > 20
Trundle, experiencing a downturn in performance, especially in the jungle role, is targeted for substantial buffs. Riot intends to position Trundle as a tank buster and explore his potential as a top-laner.
The adjustments include increased AD growth and reduced Q mana cost.
Vel’Koz Buffs
- P Damage: 33 – 169 + 50% AP > 35 – 180 + 60% AP
Vel’Koz, although a viable option, is getting buffs to bring him more in line with other mages in the game.
These adjustments aim to enhance his performance and provide players with an improved experience, coinciding with the release of his new Bee’Koz skin.
