A tweet from a Riot Games employee revealed that the 10.6 patch will indeed be a big one. Some obnoxious champions will get nerfed whereas others will surprisingly stay untouched. The teleport changes benefiting top laners more than other roles could have a big impact on the meta.
In a recent tweet , League of Legends' lead gameplay designer Mark Yetter revealed some big changes for the upcoming 10.6 patch. The specific adjustments aren't out yet, but we have a brief overview of what the new patch will be bringing to the rift.
The list of champions that will receive nerfs this patch is as follows:
The Senna and Aphelious nerfs were somewhat expected if we consider that those two picks are almost always picked or banned in the champion selection. Senna will probably get a nerf regarding her soul system and let's hope we won't see the "Fasting Senna" build anytime soon.
With two of the top 3 ADCs getting nerfed in this patch, the remaining Miss Fortune will probably remain as the single best pick for the ADC role. The Garen and Darius nerfs were welcomed by many players as these two juggernauts never left the S tier since the beginning of the season.
Champions that will receive buffs this patch include:
- Soraka (support)
Kayn has been close to the top tier for a long time and if these buffs target his early game, he will probably make the leap to S tier. The Nasus buffs with the teleport changes for top laners could help this champion to become a valid pick in the top lane.
It's a happy day for all the Wukong mains out there since his mini-rework was also mentioned in the tweet and let's hope that this change will finally make the cut for the next week's patch.
The tweet also mentioned nerfing funnel compositions, which were a big problem even in high elo. Master Yi jungle paired with Taric on mid or top lane, was probably the most obnoxious one to deal with since Yi's tower aggro reset mechanics made tower dives far too easy to execute.
