Do they need a rework?

Riot Games are continuing their tradition of refreshing an older champion and giving it new life. Amumu was the most famous example, now it's time for Ahri.

The goal of the refresh, as developers state, is for the champion to lean into her mobile mage identity by allowing R to partially reset, giving her more opportunities to carry fights.

The way to do so is to have her passive reworked to be more useful throughout the game. With her passive ability, Ahri will now store up to three additional stacks of Spirit Rush, with each extending Ahri's recast duration by 10 seconds.

Even her laning phase is getting buffed, with the mentioned passive rework and adjustment. Killing minions or monsters gives Ahri an Essence Fragment. After obtaining 9 of them, Ahri consumes them to heal for 40-120 HP, which scales with ability power.

Takedowns on champions heal Ahri even more, 80-200 HP, with the scaling being even better.

We are unsure just how extensively Riot have tested this Ahri mini rework. Whether or not it will make the champion overbearing in the lane, and impossible to pin down later, is impossible to say until it hits the live servers. It doe seem that League of Legends is about to get another high-mobility, burst damage carry.

At the very least, it's another old champion that will get to see the light of day again, so there isn't much to complain about.
