The Star Guardian event fails once again, this time due to miscommunication. Luckily, the Riot support is here to pick up the slack from everyone else.
The event was riddled with content most players skipped , and there were bugs aplenty when claiming rewards for accomplished missions. So, Riot Games have been giving out compensation.
Unfortunately, the grace period everyone expected was non-existent, as these were not the usual event rewards, so the Star Guardian event tokens expired on August 24, never to be seen again, in preparation for the Stell Valkyries event.
For fans who had spent tokens that disappeared, Riot support are accepting tickets until September 7, 2022. If you contact Riot support with a corresponding ticket, they will help you spend the tokens you had left, at the time they expired.
Luckily for Riot games, and the player base, the Riot support dedicated to League of Legends is incredible, and we can rely on them not ignoring our requests.
This will alleviate some of the issues the Star Guardian event delivered at the game's doorstep. After all, the event had a story that broke the fourth wall more than not making it hard for players to immerse themselves in it, with uninteresting characters and a plethora of technical issues even before the latest one.
Please, Riot, pick up the pace on Events, it wouldn't do to make the next year's one fail, for the third time in a row.
