Riot Games takes action to address Briar's concerning win rate by introducing a hotfix buff in Patch 13.18. Briar, League of Legends' newest champion, brings a unique playstyle to the game, heavily reliant on decision-making and precise timing.
However, her current performance in matches has left much to be desired due to a surprisingly low win rate. Briar's abilities set her apart from the rest of the League's champions. Her kit is distinctive in that it grants her abilities a level of autonomy, allowing her to lock onto a target of her choosing or the nearest one.
This unusual approach, while intriguing, has left players grappling with how to effectively harness her potential.
Given her dismal win rate and the perplexing nature of her kit, Riot has taken the decision to implement a hotfix buff for Briar in an attempt to alleviate some of her issues.
The changes made in this hotfix aim to bolster her performance and overall effectiveness on the Rift.
The Buff Details
Here are the key changes introduced in this hotfix:
Base Stats:
- Health: Increased from 590 to 610.
E – Chilling Scream:
- Damage Reduction: Enhanced from 35% to 40%.
- Cooldown: Reduced from 18 seconds to 16 seconds.
A Significant Health Boost
The addition of extra health to Briar's base stats is expected to provide a substantial boost. This change is particularly noteworthy because Briar lacks passive health regeneration unless she engages with enemies.
The increase in health equips her with greater survivability, allowing her to endure encounters with less damage sustained while charging her Chilling Scream ability.
