Throughout its lifespan, League of Legends has undergone several changes in terms of its game modes. The new addition might be the April Fools game mode. Here is what we know!

League of Legends has seen the introduction of several game modes throughout its existence. When the game was first launched, Dominion and Twisted Treeline were among the various game modes available alongside Summoner's Rift, while ARAM  gained popularity at a later time.

Eventually, Teamfight Tactics  was added as an official game mode and became its own client. There have been occasional Random Game Modes, such as Nexus Blitz  and Ultra Rapid Fire Mode, that have been popular over the past few years.

Initially, Dominion and Twisted Treeline were part of the original lineup of game modes alongside Summoner's Rift, with ARAM gaining popularity at a later time. Additionally, periodic Random Game Modes such as Nexus Blitz and Ultra Rapid Fire Mode have enjoyed significant popularity in recent years.

SkinSpotlights  recently shared a sneak peek from the PBE, which featured a loading screen labeled as "tomato". According to SkinSpotlights, this game mode appears to be an April Fools Exclusive. This was confirmed in a follow-up by SkinSpotlights.

Although there isn't much information available at this time, it seems that the upcoming game mode could involve throwing snowballs at a scuttle crab, or possibly have a theme centered around minions.

What is certain, however, is that players may be in for a treat with a new game mode that is expected to launch on April 1st, before the arrival of the 2v2v2v2 mode.
