Riot Games' lead gameplay designer has released a tweet about the upcoming changes to one of the League of Legends champions - Amumu. The main goal of this mini-rework is to make him more suited for higher ranks.
League of Legends champion Amumu has not been a very popular pick amongst junglers for a very long time now. He has a very straightforward kit that is not hard to execute.
However, this could be a double-edged sword since it's easy to counter and react to a champion if he doesn't have too many tools to catch you by surprise. This is also reflected in his pick rate disparity through the ranks. Amumu's pick rate in lower elo is three to four times higher compared to higher elo.
A recent tweet from Riot's lead gameplay designer Jeevun Sidhu has revealed their plans on balancing his power so it's suited for all ranks. His Bandage Toss (Q) will be the focal points of the upcoming changes and they will reduce powers from his other abilities to make his Q stronger. According to Jeevun, his Q will have an ammo system similar to Caitlyn's traps and or Teemo's Noxious Trap (R) which means that there will be multiple charges.
Lucian will also undergo soma major changes . High elo players can easily use his potential to win trades in the mid-lane. Unlike most of the other AD carries, his dash allows him to stay somewhat safe from ganks as he can escape being locked down much easier than other marksmen champions.
Making him rely on other champions to dish out his maximum damage could chase him away from the mid lane since it's a solo lane. Other than that, his numbers seem pretty strong and we could see a meta where Lucian takes the top spot as the best AD carry in the game.
