Wukong's low pick and win rates are the reason why The Monkey King has been on the rework wishlist for many League of Legends players. Sadly, even though he's locked in PBE, he will not find his place in the upcoming 10.5 patch.

The Wukong rework has been in a constant update and revert cycle for almost a year now and since the changes got locked in PBE, many fans were expecting the modified Monkey King to hit the live servers in the 10.5 patch. According to a Riot Games developer, and the main man behind the rework, Riot Augustus - the new Wukong won't find its place in the upcoming 10.5 patch.

The good news is that the changes are locked in PBE which means only small adjustments are going to be made to his current kit. His passive has been changed to give him a small boost for extended trades and taking jungle camps as his armour and health regen got increased by 100 per cent for 5 seconds when he attacks a champion or large monster.

Crushing Blow's (Q) flat damage got increased by 20 at max rank but its bonus AD scaling got nerfed from 0.7 bonus attack damage to 0.6 bonus attack damage which is more beneficial to tank Wukong as opposed to the assassin build path he is known to take.

Nimbus Strike (E) has had a small damage decrease in later ranks (from 260 to 240 magic at max rank). Besides that, the ability power scaling was reduced from 1.0 to 0.8 and let's just hope that it will be enough to stop all the AP Wukong enthusiasts from going mid and rushing Luden's Echo.

His ultimate Cyclone got its flat damage scaling reduced from 1.2 to 1.1 of the total damage Wukong has. To compensate, the max health damage percentage got buffed from 2.5-8.5 per cent to 3-9 per cent. In addition to that, his recast window got increased from 7 seconds to 9 seconds.

As explained by Augustus "These damage and CD adjustments are aimed at making Wukong's Early game stronger in exchange for some late game power".
