Epic Games' legendary platformer with the green hare Jazz Jackrabbit has received a minor update with some bug fixes.
Jazz Jackrabbit, the Iconic platformer featuring the beloved green hare Jazz, has received a minor patch on PC via GOG storefront. The patch fixes some game breaking bugs that prevented players from completing certain levels.
Here are the full patch notes for this Jack Jazzrabit update:
- Fixed an issue that made it nearly impossible to finish Orbitus 2.
- Fixed areas that should force you to ditch your hoverboard in Medivo 1, Turtemple 2, and Pezrock 2.
- Fixed Jungrock leaves failing to detect the player.
- Fixed Battleships 2 cannons; they now actually fire.
- Fixed episodes 3 & 4 and A & B preview images being swapped.
- Amended the launcher Batch program to allow access to the Holiday Hare settings menu.
By the looks of it, the patch was developed by a team of passionate community members, not Epic Games, the team behind the game. In case you've never heard of Jazz Jackrabbit, it's one of the first games from designer Cliff Bleszinski, the man behind many big titles such as Gears of War, Unreal Tournament and Bulletstorm and some disasters like Lawbreakers and Radical Heights.
Players control a green hare with a red bandana and a blaster gun and must overcome a series of levels with a boss at the end of every level. It's a pretty straightforward platformer and one of the legendary titles that many games hold close to their heart.
