Horizon Forbidden West gameplay showcase is coming later today and while we wait for the major event, Guerrilla Games have decided to showcase some gorgeous scenes from the game.
Guerrilla Games and Sony will finally show us some gameplay of Horizon Forbidden West, their upcoming blockbuster action-adventure. The countdown to the main State of Play event is now live and while we wait for several more hours, the devs decided to give us some pretty amazing scenery to look at.
The screenshots which you can check out below and in the live stream seem to be captured in-game but interestingly, the stream mentions these are not representative of the actual gameplay. The footage is captured in-engine on PS5 which is a bit odd but regardless, the biomes in the game certainly look stunning and we cannot wait to see more later today.

The stream also shows these locations at a different time of day so you get to see lovely sunsets and nights with gorgeous skyboxes. The game is certainly proper eye candy but we didn't expect anything less from Guerilla Games.

State of Play with Horizon Forbidden West gameplay starts at 2:00 PM PT / 23:00 PM CET.
Horizon Forbidden West is currently in development for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The game is scheduled to release sometime this year. A potential release date reveal is expected today.
