PlayStation Store database info suggests that Guerrilla Games' upcoming blockbuster Horizon Forbidden West will be one big game in terms of download size.
One of the most anticipated games of 2022, Guerrilla Games' stunning action-adventure Horizon Forbidden West , has been added to the PlayStation Store database, which usually means that data miners have first details about the game's download size and pre-load dates.
As expected, Horizon Forbidden West will be a massive game with a download size of just over 96 GB. Some may find this surprising given that PlayStation's Kraken data compression tech has been pretty efficient, making Sony's first-party games very small in terms of the download size.
However, it seems that Horizon Forbidden West is indeed a mammoth-sized game which is not surprising at all to be fair. Just take a look at those screenshots and gameplay footage that Guerrilla shared recently. Absolutely crazy looking.
We also haven't seen much of the game's other regions and biomes. We know there's a snow-covered region, which Guerrilla only teased during one of their streams. That's basically three known regions that we got to see so far and we bet there's even more that we haven't seen yet.
Also, it is worth mentioning that this is not the final download size for the game. Just as stated by the PlayStation File Size, some games end up being smaller than their database listings suggests which could also be the case with Horizon Forbidden West but you are still looking at quite a big, 70 GB+ download, and that's without the day one patch.
