Guerrilla Games continue to share more stunning screenshots and footage of the upcoming Burning Shores expansion for PlayStation exclusive Horizon Forbidden West.
Aloy is soon kicking off her adventure in Hollywood in Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores expansion and today, developer Guerrilla Games have revealed a couple of new locations that we'll get to explore later this month when Burning Shores launches exclusively on PlayStation 5 .
In the latest set of screenshots, Guerrilla showcased an impressive Quen settlement called Fleet's End, where Aloy will get to pick up new quests, upgrade her gear and much more. There's also a short in-engine video , which gives us a closer look at this settlement during both day and night.
Guerrilla Games also talked about the Quen in the latest blog post on PlayStation Blog, so if you want to know about their background and struggles on the shores, we suggest you read it here.
Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores will be a major story expansion featuring a new massive region, new enemy types, weapons and gameplay mechanics. Since the expansion is a PlayStation 5 exclusive, we also expect to see new visual improvements given that it's not held back by PlayStation 4 anymore.
Guerrilla recently did talk about how they've managed to push cloud simulation to the next level with new technology that they could not use earlier since the hardware was not ready. You can check that story below.
All in all, Burning Shores certainly continues to look mighty impressive and we cannot wait to dive in and see the new region and everything that Hollywood has to offer - from new bosses to enemies and dungeons to explore.
Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores expansion is officially launching on April 19, 2023, exclusively on PlayStation 5.
