IO Interactive rolled out the latest trailer for Hitman 3, and this time around, it's all about feeling bald and dangerous in VR. Or was that bold and dangerous?
Oh well, it doesn't really matter since Agent 47 is both of those, albeit we're not sure there's a DualSense haptic setting that sort of stuff.
"Hitman 3 takes immersion to the next level with PSVR. Hitman has always been about immersing yourself in a living, breathing world. A world filled to the brim with interesting characters, secrets, and opportunities. But you’ve never experienced it like this", the description reads.
And while we don't usually agree with PR-fueled statements, IO Interactive are right on the money here - playing Hitman 3 in VR looks like quite the experience.
Having been fans of the franchise since the first Hitman, and we're talking about the one from 2000, there's no type or manner of assassination we haven't pulled off, but seeing it in first person makes it a bit more, well, personal.
Once you see yourself dangling some poor sod from the window or shooting at people from an actual first-person perspective, things appear significantly more heated.
Hitman 3 is the first game in the trilogy to be self-published by IO Interactive, and the studio claim they've come up with a real love letter to the fans.
VR aside, Hitman 3 should be a delight to play on Sony's next-gen console, and we know this sounds like another PR statement, but we're specifically referring to PS5's DualSense controller features, which IO Interactive utilised to the max.
Each of the in-game weapons will sport its own authentic haptic feedback and the adaptive triggers have already been integrated with Agent 47's skillset.
