In case you are not familiar with the title, Project 007 is the next James Bond game and will be developed by IO Interactive, the creators of the popular third-person stealth-action franchise Hitman.
IO Interactive already teased the project, which is still under the abovementioned codename and in the early phase of development therefore the details are pretty scarce at the moment.
However, thanks to a new job listing on IO Interactive's official website, we have some new information regarding the game. As the listing suggests, Project 007 will be a third-person game, just like Hitman.
This will certainly come as a disappointment to many who prefer to play the next James Bond game in first-person but who knows, perhaps this turns out to be the right decision by the developer.
Players probably just wanted a clear distinction between James Bond and Hitman franchises and we're certain that IO Interactive will deliver on that front, despite the fact that both games are third-person.
Anyway, the job listing also reveals that Project 007 will feature "a wholly original Bond story", offering players a chance to "step into the shoes of the world's favourite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story".
Project 007 is still years away and does not have a release date nor confirmed platforms, though, it should be coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
