IO Interactive have just rolled out a trailer on Hitman 2's new Ghost Mode, which is a debuting mode that has two Agent 47s pit against one another in a race against time, although their progress doesn't affect the enemy directly.
Hitman 2's Ghost Mode is just like the ghost mode in racing games, so you will be able to see the other Agent 47 running around. Tactics like causing general ruckus so as to impede your opponent won't work however, since it's every universe for itself. Well sort of, but more on that later.
Agent 47s need to reach five eliminations, where the targets are chosen randomly so as to keep Ghost Mode matches fresh. The game will notify you after your opponent has scored a kill, after which players are given 20 seconds to score the kill. Note that spotted kills don't count, so it's imperative to keep your cool in those moments.
Randomising targets means Hitman 2 players have to improvise to reach them, picking up different disguises along the way. Same goes for weapons, since the mode has players unarmed at the start of a match.
Hitman 2's Ghost Mode will also see players collect ghost crates, which contain randomised items but are the only thing persistent in both sessions. So, taking out a weapon for instance, and you can only take one item, leaves two things for your opponent.
Although IO Interactive insist that Hitman 2's new mode has two players on two different planes of reality so to speak, the company is actually playing around with Ghost Coins in their current testing. These are actually means to affect your opponent's session and if your choice of time and place is right, you could theoretically ruin his approach, which already sounds interesting.

A bunch of playthroughs of Hitman 2's highly anticipated jungle level have recently appeared online as well, and you can check out one of them , even if the best part was that most reviewers went about the levels quite differently.
Hitman 2 launches on 13 November 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
