According to reliable Jeff Grubb, Hideo Kojima's next game could be published by Xbox. Apparently, Phil Spencer was referencing this deal with the shelf statue in one of Microsoft's online events.
Another day, another major Xbox rumour, however, this time it's coming from a reliable and trusted industry insider Jeff Grubb, who spilt the beans on Hideo Kojima's next game, which could be published by Xbox.
According to Grubb, Hideo Kojima's next game is not Abandoned on PlayStation 5, instead, the legendary Japanese developer is in talks with Xbox to publish his next game.
Before you get all excited and start hyping up this deal over the social media and gaming forums, keep in mind that Grubb also stated that he does not know if the deal has been finalised just yet. We think it's pretty close though since Phil Spencer already teased it on Microsoft's AI and Gaming Research Summit online event.
"I do not know if the deal is closed. But Kojima would be a big focus for Xbox when it comes to leveraging Japanese dev talent. Phil was referencing this deal with the shelf statue thing," Grubb said.
So what exactly could this new game be? Well, it's really hard to say but we know for quite some time that Hideo Kojima wants to make another horror game, so that would be our first pick. The game is also likely to be an exclusive for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
