GWENT Open #4 is being held this weekend in southern Poland. More precisely it is in Wieliczka salt mine, located near a town bearing the same name. Top pro ladder contestants will face off during 17 and 18 March 2018.

GWENT enthusiasts will be able to watch the clash of some of the best players in Europe. This month's participants will be TailBot, Kolemoen, Hanachan, Adzikov, proNEO, Cmel, lbdutchboy and Damorquis. They will be duking it out for the biggest share of the £17900 ($25000 USD) prize pool.

Contestants will also be battling for Crown Points and participation in GWENT Challenger that is happening in April. The event is starting on 17 March 2018, at 15:00 GMT or 20:00 PDT.

All of the matches will be streamed live on CD Projekt Red's Twitch and YouTube channels. The caster roster remains unchanged as Merchant, McBeard, MegaMogwai and Panda take their spots at the analyst desk, or the equivalent they will get in Wieliczka salt mine.

While there is no caster v caster showmatch planned for this event, CD Projekt Red have promised potential viewers a different kind of event that will remain secret for the sake of the surprise effect. This tournament will also feature Twitch Drops. Watching three hours of the tournament's stream will warrant 1 Card Keg for players and watching the finale will award players the Winner's Favourite Premium Bronze Card.

Some potential viewers who haven't googled the venue of this tournament may be disgruntled since the previous venue was a literal castle. While a ''salt mine'' does not sound grand or glamorous, nothing could be farther from the truth.

The Wieliczka salt mine is one of the country's historical monuments that is on both UNESCO's World Cultural and National Heritage lists. There is no need to simply take my word for it, as a picture is worth a thousand words.

CD Projekt Red have also promised a complete immersion experience with professional cosplayers populating the area. Aside from eye candy, let's hope for a fierce competition for the top spot of the tournament.
