Official GTA 6 announcement is imminent. Bloomberg reports that Rockstar Games plan to reveal the game as soon as this week and follow up with the first trailer next month, to celebrate the game's 25th anniversary.
The announcement is expected to be in the form of an official blog post, which will include details like the game's logo, the setting, story and platforms. As for the trailer, there's a chance that we see it during The Game Awards, which attracts large viewership every year.
"Rockstar Games plans to announce the next highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto game as early as this week, according to people familiar with its plans," Bloomberg report states.
"The company plans to then publish a trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI next month to celebrate Rockstar’s 25th anniversary."
Recent rumours suggested that the reveal trailer will feature a song That's All by Genesis and will start with a shot of an alligator, which could be confused for Red Dead Redemption 2.
Previous leaks, including the biggest one from August, revealed that GTA 6 is set in Miami-like Vice City and features two playable protagonists - a male and a female - who are apparently siblings.
You probably recall the biggest leak ever, which gave us actual gameplay of both characters and the first look at the world, combat and more. Rockstar acknowledged the leaks and confirmed at that point that they are working on a new GTA game. The hacker who leaked the footage was later arrested by the authorities and found guilty by UK court.
GTA 6 is expected to launch in 2024/2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It's possible that we first get the console version with the PC launch coming later, as that's been somewhat of a tradition for recent Rockstar releases.
