Rhonda Cox, a Producer at Sony's God of War dev SIE Santa Monica has joined Microsoft's first-party studio The Initiative to work on the upcoming Perfect Dark reboot.
Microsoft's first-party studio The Initiative are building quite a team for their upcoming blockbuster title Perfect Dark. Rhonda Cox, a Producer on major releases such as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, God of War and World of Warcraft expansions has joined the team, she officially announced via LinkedIn.
"Very excited to announce that I've accepted a Senior Producer position at The Initiative where I'll be working on the recently announced Perfect Dark game!," Cox shared the news . "I'm beyond ecstatic to take this next step in my career, and to be a part of a franchise I've held dear since childhood."
Previously, Cox worked at Sony's first-party studio Santa Monica, who brought us the beloved God of War title, as a producer on gameplay features. She also worked on World of Warcraft for more than seven years. Projects include development work on expansions and all patch cycles for Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, Legion, and Battle for Azeroth.
The Initiative, Microsoft's so-called "AAAA studio" who are primarily working on major, blockbuster titles, have been staffing for the last couple of years, bringing in respected developers from around the industry, in order to deliver their first game.
The details about Perfect Dark are still pretty scarce, we only have a short teaser trailer but hopefully, more will be shown at Microsoft's E3 show in June.
