According to the series' director, the role of Kratos in the upcoming God of War live adaptation could be handed to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Fans are not thrilled, to say the least.

When Amazon announced in mid-December last year that they were working on a new God of War series, many speculations began, mostly about who could take over the role of the main character Kratos. In the article we published at the time, we also listed five actors who could embody the Greek god of war in live action. You can read the article here.

It's interesting that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was one of the actors we mentioned, and now word has spread on Twitter that the God of War series' director prefers this muscular, ex-WWE wrestler who excels in the strongman roles in many Hollywood films and TV shows.

The user @RedLightning420, who is well-known for publishing leaks that later turned out to be accurate, provided this information on his Twitter profile, but the source TMZ, which he cited in a tweet, provided no information on this subject.

It's fascinating to see the comments on this tweet, where the majority of users don't seem too thrilled about the possibility of The Rock acting as Kratos. It's also interesting to note that the majority of people seem to concur with our assumptions, meaning that the actors they most frequently list for this complex role are those who were also discussed in our post from December 2022.

Whatever the case, all of the information regarding live-action Kratos is still speculative, and we will likely have to wait a little longer before learning the real news about the God of War TV series.
