Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is getting a new PvP mode. The open beta for Ghost War will be available on all platforms in late September 2017. A proper Ghost War premiere will be held on a Twitch stream on 19 September 2017.

Ubisoft wants you to know that the open beta for Ghost War will be available on all platforms between 21 and 25 September, 2017. Ghost War is the new PvP mode update coming to Ghost Recon Wildlands. The open beta will be available for preload starting on 19 September.

Ubisoft doesn't care if you own the base game or not. They're letting everyone give the new update a go, and that kids, is why it's called an open beta. I mean they do care, but their motives are not something I feel comfortable discussing right now. The full mode will be released as this autumn.

Ghost War will be a 4v4 team deathmatch that "builds on the tactical squad play from the main game, where strategy is equally as important as skill" if you trust the press release. A bunch of classes from three categories will be available for you to choose from, and the categories are: Assault, Marksman and Support

Out of twelve classes total, the beta will feature six. Similarly, five out of eight maps will be available. The press release goes on about new PvP mechanics which include suppressing fire and sound markers.

There will be a  on 19 September at 17:00 BST. The premiere will be a Twitch exsclusive. To celebrate this event, a pre-show with four hours of content featuring special guests will begin at 13:00 BST. A re-broadcast of the pre-show and main event will start at approximately 19:30 BST.
