Ghost Recon Wildlands' free PvP update was deployed today. Interference brought a new game mode, new maps and a new PvP class. Five more updates will be released over the coming months.

Ghost Recon Wildlands got its free PvP update today. The update - Interference - brought along some new PvP features, and laid the groundwork for additional free content that'll be arriving over the next several months.

Interference is available to all players on all platforms, and includes a new game mode called Uplink. The new mode is a 4v4 objective-based mode where teams compete to control and defend an access point in the center of the map. Three of the five incoming maps are specifically designed for Uplink.

A new PvP class - the Disruptor takes on the role of a support player equipped with jamming devices. The Disruptor can interfere with the enemy team’s markers, mini-map information, and notifications. To keep things as balanced as they can be, Disruptors cannot mark enemies or send pings to teammates.

Season Pass and Ghost War Pass owners get a seven days head start with all new classes. Honestly, after The Ring I can't say "seven days" in a normal tone of voice. And now I'm in your head. After seven days (right?) all other players will get their chance to unlock the new classes via Prestige Credits earned through normal gameplay or by purchasing credits from the in-game store.

Interference is just the beginning. Five more free PvP updates are set to launch for Ghost Recon Wildlands. The updates include: Jungle Storm, Extended Ops, New Assignment, Reinforcement, and Bravo 6.

Much like Interference, the updates will bring a mix of new classes, new maps, new modes, and gameplay tweaks.
