Sony and Sucker Punch Productions revealed some interesting stats about their katana-wielding samurai fantasy Ghost of Tsushima, and the photo mode is killing it.
This, of course, shouldn't come as much of a surprise given how drop-dead gorgeous Ghost of Tsushima is, and the best confirmation comes from PlayStation's official stats.
As it turns out players took 15.5 million photos in the first 10 days since Ghost of Tsushima hit the shelves. And you can bet your bottom dollar that whoever took one probably took 10 more. And 10 more. Rinse and repeat as needed.
PlayStation's official Twitter posted a few more interesting stats, like 57.5 million Ghost of Tsushima duels, and 8.8 million foxes petted. Impressively enough, players have spent 810 years on horseback, which really makes one think.
Jin's katana has led him it into 156.4 million standoffs, 139.4 million of which resulted in his enemies collapsing in fear and cowering
Ghost of Tsushima's artistic tendencies came to the fore big time as players cranked out as many as 14.2 million haikus and played 28.1 million flute songs. We seem to recall some complaints about this mechanic but it looks like most players still had a blast.
As many as 16.2 million Onsen, i.e. Ghost of Tsushima's bathing facilities, were visited by players, although Inari Shrines took the cake there with 37.5 million visits.
Ghost of Tsushima is not without its faults, most of which by now seem inherent to the open-world genre, but overall, a huge number of players are enamoured by it, quite rightfully so. One thing's for certain - PlayStation 4 couldn't have asked for a better swansong.
