Ghost of Tsushima, the beautiful photo-mode simulator, created by Sony's 1st party game studio, Sucker Punch, is getting a very cool feature in the upcoming title update.
Even the samurai needs a companion, and what's the best companion than a dog? Well, the good people at Sucker Punch are well aware of that, of course, and they plan to put a little smile on Jin's face (and ours!) with the next patch.
In a very exciting upcoming patch for Wind of Tsushima, version 1.1, Lord Sakai will be able to equip a Charm of Canine Recruitment that allows him to pet dogs and then recruit them to his side as allies. Well, there's a catch, of course.
Well, it turns out that good people at Sucker Puch are NOT that good, as you'll be able to equip the said Charm only in New Game+. Why? Why would they do that?
So, yeah. Little dogos will just stare at you with their puppy eyes, and you won't be able to pet them in your first playthrough.
The other, less important addition with patch 1.1, is the game mode called Legends, which is a co-op mode for two or four players, and you'll be able to pet dogs there too. Well, the spirit dogs at least. Nothing strange there.
Version 1.1 also adds new powerful charms, a new horse, and a new merchant who sells exclusive dyes and vanity items to New Game+.
In the weeks following launch, a multiplayer raid will release for those interested in a new challenge. The update to version 1.1 is set to arrive on October 16.
