A popular Genshin Impact leaker named Lumie has revealed more information about one of the upcoming characters that will arrive in update 2.7 - the Hydro bow user named Yelan.

A recent leak on the popular Genshin Impact leaks subreddit has revealed more information about the upcoming character Yelan. She was previously rumored to be a character designed to specifically support Ayato but those rumors have now been debunked.
She will most likely work as an independent support Hydro character with a strong off-field presence. One of the most credible Genshin Impact leakers named Lumie has revealed that Ayato will arrive on the first banner for update 2.6.
However, Yelan won't be the only new character to arrive in update 2.7. Lumie has confirmed that the second banner cycle will bring a new four-star character named Kuki Shinobu.

Ayato is expected to be a Hydro character meaning that he should have great synergy with his sister Ayaka who's a Cryo user. His weapon of choice will be the sword and he will be the second Hydro sword user after Xingqiu. According to most leaks, he should arrive in update 2.6 which, according to miHoYo's usual update schedule should drop around April 10.
