HoYoverse's action role-playing game is a big hit on PS4, PS5 and Windows PC, not to mention mobile phones, but Switch owners are still waiting for the free-to-play game to arrive, and by the looks of it, they'll have to wait a bit more.
Genshin Impact is a really gorgeous game, with fun gameplay and triple-A production, and the best part is that it's completely free. The Japanese developer and publisher HoYoverse are kings of mobile gaming and with their first step into console gaming, there are doing more than great.
Genshin Impact is producing them a lot of money, and with almost 100M Switch consoles sold worldwide, it would be crazy not to release it on the Nintendo's money-making console too.
But, we're all still waiting, even though Genshin Impact has been announced for Switch. The latest news (or rumours, if you will) are telling us that the reason behind this delay is the weaker hardware of the Switch console.
Genshin Impact has been out for almost two years now and many players already started speculating that it will never arrive on the Switch platform. However, in an exclusive interview for gonintendo , developer HoYoverse has revealed that the Switch version is still in development.
Nintendo never builds a powerful console, and their intention is never to compete with the raw power of the new Xbox and PlayStation consoles or PC rigs, but their latest gaming console still sells like hotcakes and even outsells the competition regularly.
We'd love to see miHoYo's hit on a Switch handheld system, with cross-progression and cross-platform supported but looks like we'll have to wait a bit more for it to happen.
