The animations for one of the upcoming Genshin Impact characters, Sayu, have been revealed on Twitter by a credible leaker. Sayu is not expected to be a part of the upcoming 1.6 update.
The release of a new character is one of the most exciting things in Genshin Impact. With all the upcoming banners players will have a harder time where to spend their precious Primogems.
The official Genshin Impact Twitter account has unexpectedly teased three new characters: Ayaka, Sayu and Yoimiya. A recent video on Twitter posted from a credible Genshin Impact leaker called Dimbreath has revealed a fight scene featuring Sayu.
A couple of days ago a leak on the famous Wangsheng Funeral Parlor discord channel leaked some information about her skills which apparently turned out to be true.
Her Elemental Skill (E) will cause her to curl into a spinning wheel and crash into enemies while dealing Anemo damage. The skill has a hold and tap animation. If you just press the skill, Sayu will roll a short distance forward before performing a dancing kick.
Holding the skill will allow her to continue her roll forward while gaining increased resistance to interruptions. Players will be able to control the direction of movement, triggering the skill again will have the same dancing kick animation, but the damage will be significantly higher. The cooldown is extended the longer she keeps rolling.
Elemental Burst (Q) will create a small helper for Sayu that deals Anemo damage to nearby enemies and heals teammates. If nearby teammates have their HP above 70 per cent it will deal damage to enemies. However, if there are party members whose HP is below 70 per cent, the effect will heal the lowest HP unit. If there are no enemies nearby, the healing effect will extend above 70 per cent
When it comes to the day of release, there were no official confirmations. All of the newly announced characters, besides Kazuha, will most likely not make it into the 1.6 update. 1.7 should be arriving around June 20, at least according to miHoYo's update schedule.
