A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more information about one of the upcoming characters, the Hydro Bow user Yelan. She is expected to arrive in update 2.7.
The addition of a new character is probably the most exciting thing a casual Genshin Impact player is looking forward to, especially in the latter stages of the game when there aren't as many quests and events to enjoy.
A recent leak on the popular Genshin Impact leaks subreddit has revealed more information about the upcoming character Yelan. She was previously rumored to be a character designed to specifically support Ayato but those rumors have now been debunked.
She will most likely work as an independent support Hydro character with a strong off-field presence. Multiple are already predicting that she will arrive as the new character for Genshin Impact update 2.7.
Ayato is expected to be a Hydro character meaning that he should have great synergy with his sister Ayaka who's a Cryo user. His weapon of choice will be the sword and he will be the second Hydro sword user after Xingqiu. According to most leaks, he should arrive in update 2.6 which, according to miHoYo's usual update schedule should drop around April 10.

Even though Yae Miko is not even released yet, the official Genshin Impact Twitter account has already announced the arrival of another popular character, the long-awaited Kamisato Ayato. He is Ayaka's brother and the head of the Kamisato clan.
