A recent Genshin Impact leak has revealed that two popular characters, Xiao and Arataki Itto, might receive a banner re-run as a part of a third banner extension for update 2.6.
The addition of a new character is probably the most exciting thing a casual Genshin Impact player is looking forward to, especially in the latter stages of the game when there aren't as many quests and events to enjoy.
However, it seems as though developer Hoyoverse started combining new characters with two banner re-runs for each new Genshin Impact update. A recent leak on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed the two characters that could arrive on the third banner for Genshin Impact update 2.6 - Xiao and Arataki Itto.
Itto has been a part of the game since Genshin Impact update 2.3 when he was introduced alongside another Geo character named Gorou. Even though Genshin Impact usually tends to introduce re-runs after five updates pass, it seems like Itto could arrive a bit sooner than expected.
He is a unique character that thrives on having a good team composition around him. It's safe to say that he is the character who introduced the famous trend of having four Geo characters in the same party. The new character that should arrive in this update is the Hydro bow user, Yelan.

Leaks about Xiao's arrival caught the community by surprise considering that he was featured on the first banner for Genshin Impact update 2.4 alongside Shenhe. Recent Genshin Impact rumors have revealed that the upcoming 2.7 update might get delayed which is one of the main reasons for this third banner.
