The second cycle for update 2.4 will bring back a popular character, the fan-favorite Zhongli. He will be joined by Ganyu as a part of a double banner.
Genshin Impact update 2.3 has introduced a brand new banner mechanic which allows players to choose between two limited character banners in the same update cycle. This could be the way that miHoYo decides to introduce banner re-runs in the future since it compensates for the absence of a new five-star character.
A recent post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed that update 2.4 will bring another double banner re-run featuring one of the fan-favorite characters - Zhongli. Character banner re-runs have recently become pretty common in the world of Genshin Impact.
The official Genshin Impact social media accounts have confirmed the four-star characters that will arrive with Zhogli's banner

- Yanfei
- Beidou
Zhongli didn't receive much love when he was initially released a couple of months due to the lack of damage and shield power he provided. Luckily enough, miHoYo decided to give him some buffs at the start of update 1.3 because he's the Geo Archon after all. He quickly went from "being useless" to becoming one of the strongest characters in a game and a must-have for any late-game team composition.

A recent update by a beta leaker on the Genshin_Impact_leaks subreddit has revealed that Shenhe could have Energy issues while fighting which could prevent her from fulfilling her damage potential. Her whole kit indicates that she is a support character that thrives on dropping her elemental skill and burst before getting swapped out. These things could still get updated considering that she's currently in the 2.4 beta phase.
