The Last of Us Remastered and MLB The Show 19 are the next two freebies on PlayStation 4 in October 2019. The games will be available to everyone who own PlayStation Plus.
Sony's PlayStation Plus is a monthly subscription service required to play online multiplayer games but it also comes with a couple of neat features including free games and discounts in the PlayStation store. Right now, you can download Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders 3 but you should go and grab them before the end of the month as Sony already announced two new titles that will be free in the month of October 2019.
These two games are The Last of Us Remastered and baseball simulation MLB The Show 19 and they arrive in a perfect moment. If you're yet to play The Last of Us, the remastered edition is a great opportunity to complete the story before the sequel - The Last of Us Part 2 officially arrives in February 2020.
The Last of Us Remastered is the enhanced version of the original game. Initially, The Last of Us released on PlayStation 3 at the end of the consoles life cycle so Sony and Naughty Dog decided to make the game a lot prettier and re-release it on the next-gen console, which at the time was PlayStation 4.
Along with fancy graphics, The Last of Us Remastered also comes with the Abandoned Territories Map Pack, Reclaimed Territories Map Pack, and the critically acclaimed The Last of Us: Left Behind Single Player campaign.
As for the MLB The Show 19, it's a great opportunity to have some fun with baseball before the Major League Baseball playoffs begin next week. The game features several modes including the playoffs and you can also start your own franchise, create a player and or experience the Diamond Dynasty.
The dates for the new games are yet to be announced but it shouldn't be long before Sony reveal when exactly PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download them.
