We've had a few quick freebies launched these days so we thought it's best to round them up, but do note that Grid 2 and Stories Untold offers will be expiring in a matter of hours, so you'll want to redeem them as soon as possible.

We don't believe The Sims need any introduction, but on the off cosmic chance you haven't played any of its instalments through the years, we're talking about a traditionally cute life simulator.

If you've always dreamed about a secret life as a roofing inspector, especially a redhead one that likes roofing in July, this is the game for you, and you can pick it up for free for another six days or so.

Most likely in celebration of the Grid reboot, Codemasters made Grid 2 free on Steam and should you end up liking the game, and there's no reason any racing fan shouldn't, it'll prove to be an introduction to the franchise.

Besides, by the time you're done, it'll be time to try the new Grid, which Codemasters decided is best named with no numbers this time. The game launches on 13 September 2019, which happens to be a Friday, so hopefully, it doesn't jinx them.

Our second to picks come from the Epic Games Store, so we've left them for last, just in case you have some ethical bones to pick with Sweeney and Co or something.

That said, we strongly suggest picking them bones at a later date after you've picked up Stories Untold, a delightful spooky adventure by No Code.

It actually comes with four separate stories, all delightfully retro-themed, and it's likely to remind you of one contemporary show. Except it's done right and remains fun throughout.

You can pick it up on the Epic Games Store .

Last but not least is coming in a few days, more precisely on 23 May 2019, and it's Rime, a gorgeous, cell-shaded puzzle-adventure, that ticks about any box you can think of - story, visuals, sound, gameplay, puzzles, i.e. the whole nine yards.
